This is an excellent paper. Unfortunately it took 2 months from order placement to the first issue arrival.
To my surprise it is being delivered by mail 2 days post issue date. I do not need Monday paper on Wednesday after returning from work, no matter how good it is. I am going back to WSJ delivered to my door at 6AM same day, so I can read my paper with my morning coffee the way God intended.
I am canceling the subscription today.

I have no problems with the Financial Times, but I purchased this as a gift with the estimated delivery of 3-4 weeks, and delivery hasn't started -- 5 weeks later! The customer service line is an annoying automated system, and it tells me that my gift recipient won't be getting it for 2 more weeks!

I canceled my Wall Street Journal subscription after concluding that the best part was the cartoon. The articles may not have as much hype today, but if you want a good financial/global newspaper, the Financial Times is the one. There's a 4-week-free offer for new subscribers (the first time I have seen this), so make sure you take advantage of this. Even if the offer is no longer available by the time you read this, it still beats any other (daily) financial newspaper. (Business Week, a magazine favorite, is published weekly.)

I ordered a subscription as a Christmas gift on 11/20/07. It's 2/1/08 and the receipient still hasn't gotten the first issue. Customer service is going to get back to me in 3-5 business days. . . . I'd recommend ordering from another service.

If you want to stay updated on world news, this is the paper to read. It features a well balanced mix between US news and international news. I let my subscription lapse recently due to a move and felt not being well informed anymore.

However, please be advised that it takes at least 7 weeks for the first issue to arrive, not 2 to 4 weeks like stated by Amazon. Amazon customer service was extremely unhelpful when asked about this issue. They referred to their magazine customer service by Synapse - who never responded to my inquiry regarding the delivery issue. Very disappointing!
