It’s a great paper if your business savvy. It of course
covers the major world and national events. Then it
focuses on economic affairs of the US and other nations
to see what is going on in the world of business. I
highly recommend this is business people those that like
to know about the market, and the various events that

out of 5: Financial Times: A Very Rewarding Read
azescobar, Jan 25 2005
I've been a subscriber to the FT since
I was a junior in college, back in 1994. Even though I
am not a high-flying entrepreneur or big-deal investor,
I find the FT indispensable. The Wall
Street Journal features timely
coverage of a surprisingly wide array of business and
non-business issues. The paper's layout is crisp and
remarkably consistent and features some fantastic
big-budget advertising, while FT's writers have a
tenacious grasp of clarity, brevity and intelligence.
The physical paper itself is thick and low-contrast and
the dimensions are very pleasing. I have yet to find a
recurring publication that has better production values
than the Wall Street Journal. The editorial page is
perhaps America's finest daily display of current
supply-sider thought and outlook. In addition to the
expected stock tables, the FT is filled with human
interest stories, articles on the arts and music,
columns on managing your career and money, reviews of
everything from snowshoes to polo shirts and special
sections that cover hot topics like e-Commerce and
telecommunications. What keeps me as a subscriber is the
broad focus this business daily takes. The FT is not
simply about stocks and bonds, it's about the modern
free-market economy and how it affects our lives. |

out of 5: Great Corporate Insight
charles, Jan 18 2005
Love this product, but I would have ordered it earlier
if I knew it was going to take more than 4 weeks to
begin shipment. Apparently, even though the information
on Amazon's website indicated that it would take 2-4
weeks, when I called to follow-up when I didn't receive
my first issue in 4 weeks, I was told that shipping
would begin 2-10 (!) weeks from my order date. It ended
up taking 4 weeks and days- not sure if that had
anything to do with my call to customer service. |

out of 5: Biz News in Elegant Prose
frazzlespice, Jan 09, 2005
I really like the FT's front page format: It lists
one-two sentence teasers in one column, and more lengthy
beginnings of features. I like the combination of biz
news, breaking news and human interest features on the
front page. Most of all, I savor its responsible tone.
This is no National Enquirer, or even the New York
Times, which is a very good paper but sometimes bounces
around tone-wise. As for business news, which I am very
interested in understanding, it's best quality is its
versatility of businesses chosen for coverage and its
versatility of approaches. |
